About Us

About Us
SCORE Academy is an accredited WCPSS high school that operates two programs across four Wake County sites.

The Re-engagement Program (SCORE A) assists under-credited students (between ages 16 & 21 who have at least 12 credits) with earning their high school diploma. Our staff provides individualized support to remove barriers and help students overcome the obstacles that impeded their progress at their base school. Students complete asynchronous classes and graduate after completing at least the minimum 22 credits required by the state. SCORE staff also help students develop a post-secondary educational and career plan.

The Reassignment Program (SCORE B) serves students who have been reassigned from their base school for violating a WCPSS student discipline policy. Students work in a blended, distance-learning environment and participate in restorative justice and SEL (social-emotional learning) activities. SCORE B assists students in continuing to earn credits during their disciplinary reassignment while also providing opportunities for self-growth and development.

Each campus offers a safe, respectful, and hard-working environment with a wide array of supports and services. All students have access to certified teachers in all core content areas, school counselors, success coaches, a social worker, and a dedicated administrative staff. Students frequently take part in active conferences to ensure their needs are being met and that they are on track to graduate or be promoted to the next grade level. In addition, all SCORE sites offer flexible hours, connection with community resources, and are conveniently located either on or near public transit stops. Classes are offered via Canvas and a learning management system called Edgenuity.
